Community Church began in 1957 with a group of 67 people wanting to worship together.  Community Church was chartered on March 17, 1957.  Their vision was to be a helping element in the community and surrounding area of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.  Even as the church struggled to get on its feet, a central focal point was mission and reaching out to those in need.  That is still the main focus of its members 60 years later.

Worship

Led by Pastor Fred Powell, the 10AM Sunday Service is a blend of

traditional and contemporary music, prayer and scripture that speaks to our lives,

individually and together.

Music

Led by our Award-Winning Musical Director Jan Hinton (right),

our Choir is a key component of our Sunday Service.

You are always invited to sing along if you would like,

and Choir practice is every Thursday at 7pm and Sunday morning at 9am.
