The Community Church

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida

Service

Through Outreach & Mission we learn that

it’s not about me or what we want.  It’s

about our brothers and sisters in need.

Service includes projects like the Angel

Tree food bank at the church where the

needy are assisted with food and many

other projects where the Word of God is

spread through outreach to others. We

follow in the footsteps of Jesus, the first

missionary, to minister to God’s children.

Some of our current service projects are:

“Dress for Africa”, military “Share Packages”, Sunset Gap Community Center in TN, “Living Waters for the World”, nursing home projects, foster family projects, literacy/education, special needs programs, “Operation Christmas Child”, “Souls for Soles”, community outreach, independent living, foster pet program, and many others; including ladies who knit and quilt in support of our projects.

Going Green!

The bulletin board in the picture shows some of the ways we are recycling and reusing many of the everyday items. For example: a  pillowcase can be turned into a little girl’s dress.  A soup label can be turned in to obtain a computer. A man’s necktie becomes a source of income for the homeless and the list goes on!
